Learn More: The Community Foundation is a Resource
Developing a charitable plan that takes into account your client's financial and charitable needs is no small task. As a professional advisor, the opportunity you have to help your clients achieve their philanthropic goals is both a privilege and a challenge.
We want to be a resource for you as well as a philanthropic partner for your clients. A full understanding of the many possibilities of charitable giving, which can offer specific tax benefits, can also help your clients achieve financial, personal or business goals.
We consider attorneys, accountants, financial planners, insurance agents and other professionals who have relationships with donors to be our valued partners in charitable giving. This section of our site makes tools and information available to help you ensure that your clients receive the full benefit of their contributions while supporting the charities of their choice.
We have an outstanding reputation for integrity and service to donors. And we've developed unique resources for you to use in helping donors craft their charitable giving plans. Below you may click on the links for some additional information. When you are ready to examine a specific fund agreement, please contact foundation staff for example documents based on the type of fund your client desires.

Fund Overview

Starting a Fund
It is easy to help your client establish a named charitable fund. |
|
Decide on the type of contribution the client would like to use to establish the fund: cash, securities, or other property.
Name the fund. Clients can use their own name, the name of a family member or one they invent.
Designate current fund representatives such as the client and spouse, and successor representatives such as children.
Contact Foundation staff to complete and sign a simple governing document that will customize specific details and intentions of the gift.
Planned Gifts. Sometime clients wish to not notify the Community Foundation of their future gifts. As they work with their advisors on estate plans we may certainly be listed as a recipient of cash, securities, life insurance, and other property of value. In these instances it is important to document our legal name and tax identification number. It is as follows: |
