The Community Foundation is pleased to announce the upcoming Butler County 4-H Fair. For schedule details click here.

The Butler County Fair Association established a fund in 2008 to help support expansion efforts of the Fair. Please contact Angie Baur at the Foundation, if you are interested in making a donation or learning more.

As community partners it is very exciting to see members of our community honored for their dedication and contributions in making Butler County a stronger community. We join the Butler County Commissioners in recognizing the 2008 Volunteers of the Year!

Barry and Kandace Sullivan
2008 Volunteer(s) of the Year Award

The award, sponsored by the Butler County Commissioners,

recognizes persons who have devoted much time to the

betterment of the 4-H fair in Butler County, as well as the 4-H

program.

Barry was a 4-Her for several years in the Rock Creek 4-H Club in

Douglass where he showed pigs and has been a project leader in

the Benton 4-H Club. He served on the Butler County Fair Board

for more than 20 years representing Murdock Township. Barry

has been involved with many fair board committees and worked

on repairs and maintenance to our fairground facilities.

Kandy is from Ark City and has served the Benton 4-H Club as a

project leader as well. Barry & Kandy have 5 children - Chris,

Matt, Nick, John & Jenny, who were 4-H members here in Butler

County.
